Day 1: So after sleeping in I finally woke up and decided to start my juicing day! So Cory and I made a pit stop at Kroger to go get some veggies and fruits. Then headed on over to Alex and Cody's house to begin juicing. I had a recipe that I found out of the magazine I was reading yesterday at work.
Recipe:
3-4 carrots
1 cucumber
1 small beet
1'' piece of ginger root
1/2 green apple
Cost: $6.79
Breakfast/Lunch: My feelings about this whole recipe were wonderful. However, after making this it was horrid. I think that I put way too much beet and ginger root in there. I wanted to throw up, but Cory made me feel bad so I basically chugged it. Never again will I probably make this recipe. Oh and I cut my finger making this horrid recipe just saying I have to wear a band aid and it is hard to type with it. I really hurt too.
So after that I was STARVING!! Like I literally thought I was going to have to eat Munchie, but I stayed strong and feel asleep on the couch with Cory watching some random movie about communism. Then he woke me up to the wonderful smell of fried chicken. ugh. I wanted that chicken so bad. SO I headed to Aldea (a cheap grocery store) to get some food for my next meal. I found a recipe online but when I got to Aldea they didn't have pears. so I got Apples, Strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and lemons for $14.34. I know this whole juicing thing is getting a little expensive if you ask me. I am not sure if I can make it spending this much and eating this little. Anyways so I got back to Alex and Cody's and made my own recipe.
Anna Liquid:
2 apples
1 lemon
some grapes, blueberries, and strawberries
It was yummy. Kind of just like a fruit smoothie. So then dropped the Cory off to have some guy time with his friend John and headed home still hungry. Once I got home I hopped on the motorcycle and went and got me some carrots and pears. Got home and made the best drink of the day by far. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!!
Apple Pear:
2 apples
4 pears
10 baby carrots or 3 big carrots
It was banging. I drank like 28 oz of it I made a ton Cory said I needed to make more to feel me up better. Yet, my stomach is growling right now. And I think I need to find the recipe for Mean Green. However, I do feel good about myself. I will admit two things. I stole a taffy, but I gave it to Cory in the car I felt so guilty at the thought of eating it. And once I got home after contemplating for like 20 minutes I had two spoons of ice cream and by spoons I mean tiny. It was horrible right after I put it in my mouth I wanted to cry and vomit. It is kind of how I feel now when I think about eating microwaved food. I feel so guilty and I am sorry. So overall today was a success if you look past the spoon of ice cream and the temptation of taffy. I am proud of myself. I am just worried at how I am going to be able to do this at VI, which by the way is only like 2 days away. I am nervous. I wish I would have found out about this juicing thing like 2 weeks ago I have no clue how I am going to do this at the Bristol Speed Race. Anyways I think it is a good start for me even if I can't do the whole ten days I am happy. Hopefully I can think of someway to continue this throughout the Bristol Race.

Pimp Juice
So today while I was at work I stumbled upon something that I think I am going to try. No not Pimp Juice, but the diet of juicing. Well now that I have kinda found out some stuff about it I wouldn't call it a diet more like a way of life or change in life. I was reading some weird ladies health magazine that was sitting on the table and saw an article for reducing yeast?? Sounds gross doesn't, but it wasn't about that it was about the yeast in foods and how they are bad for us. However I continued to read the article trying to figure out what this was really about and it turned out to be about juicing. I am not going to lie I ripped out the pages of the magazine and tucked them in my pants and went back to work just kind of forgetting about the whole thing. I did however stop by and look at the juicers on the way. I kind of got in my mind that I would get a juicer and test this whole thing out.
Later after I got off work Cory and I headed over to my house for a random family dinner. Over the food and everyone talking I asked my mom for a juicer and my sister Alex told me I could use hers. How she never used it and didn't really need it. I was so pumped I couldn't really help but continue to talk about it. Well then we ate all of our fatty meats and some cake that was probably hydrogenated and finally ended up watching Phenias and Ferb aka the best show EVER!! I still don't understand how 5-7 year old can understand the sense of humor or half the jokes on the show. Anyways while there I found this movie all about this guy who changed his entire life by juicing. And how others have even changed their lives. It was so inspiring and yet so ironic that earlier in the day I found that article about juicing.
So basically what I am saying or attempting to say is that I am going to do a 10 juicing fast. Well I am going to try it tomorrow morning and see what it is like. Even if I hate it I really do think I will try and do it anyways there didn't seem to be anything that could possibly be negative about it. I may need to take like a multi vitamin but I should probably be taking that anyways. So yes I am going to start juicing. I'm hoping this will help me get on some kind of healthy path. Lately I have been feeling really icky about myself. I know I am beautiful and have nothing to feel icky about, but sometimes you just gotta do what is gonna make you feel awesome and most comfortable in your skin for your self. So that is what I plan to do. Maybe I will make my own Pimp Juice cup to drink out of. Wish me luck.

ps. I got my Advance Dive card. I love diving.

Vomit Comitnn
Yesterday was one of the werdirst experiences of my life i vomited underwater. it was horrible and unbelivable at the same time. Oh i am here at Marine laby and i have become an aquanaut but who cares tat is boring lets get onto the important stuff. yesterday at lunch we had hotdogs. yummy right i love hotdogs and not to mention i was starving from snorkeling that morning in the mangroves. so i eat my yummy hotdog with beans and then pack up for our first open ocean dive. booh yahh. so we head out towards the deep blue and the corals when a huge storm blows up. it isnt too bad and i dont feel sick at all. so we get to our choppy spot get our gear on and giant stride off the boat. sign the okay and down we go to the corals yaya. i do my fish count then wait going up and down up and down on the others to finish. once they are finally done we get off the boat and i vomit soon afterwards. i felt wonderful afterwards so jumped back into my gear to go explore some more. so i am swimming swimming along and all of a sudden i am like oh no i think i am going to be sick. i get horribly frieghtened and somewhat freaked out. i think my entire face went grey. still swimming and thinking i am about to barf i pass a group of yellowtail snappers awaiting what was next to come. all of a sudden i freeze in the water and begin to throw up in my regulator but soon feel chuncks of hotdog making its way up so what do i do? i tak my reg out of my mouth vomit in the water replace my reg, purge, take it back out and vomit agin, purge. while all the time those yellowtail snappers devoure what was once my lunch. overall it was a crazy experience. one of the other divers andie asked me if i was okay. she said she freaked out because she thought a predator was coming up behind here because of the rush of fish. then she saw them swarming around me. it was a epic and almost so hard to believe that i did that and didnt drown in thr processes. so today and somewhat moral of the story today i took dramamine and did wonderful. however i will never forget that my first open water ocean dive i was named the vomit comit.

A visit to the Capitol
Last Saturday I traveled to Washington DC to 1) visit my Dad I hardly ever get to see 2) See some sites 3) begin the trip of a lifetime to Key Largo, Florida to go on a Biology trip.
So the morning started with a blast with Mom screaming about how we need to leave and how there might be a plane of 200 kids leaving at the same time which was 6:00 in the morning. Of course I procrastinated till the last second to pack all my crap and probably forgot things that I maybe should have brought with me. However all I care about is I brought like 7 bathing suits, my dive card, log book, of course some other clothes, and floopy no doubt. However recently Floopy sustained some injuries due to Ziggy.
To start we landed at like 8 in the morning in DC. Dad picked us up and took us to his humble abode and we ate a good breakfast and then fell asleep on the couch. Then waking up went to see HARRY POTTER oh yea!! Before the Potter we ate at this awesome yummy place. Then after Potter we went and walked all over DC. Saw the white house looked at other monuemnts and had some good fashioned walking UGH!!
The next day I opted to wake up and do BODY PUMP. Which really pumped my body and am still sore at this moment. Then after that we went and looked at more monuments. Ate some good food at home.
On Tuesday Abeth and I went out to the Smithsonian after Dad was food poisoned from the crappiest eatery I have ever ate at. We hit up the Smithsonian Zoo first which was a bust. Still to date the Nebraska Zoo is the best. Thier desert dome is a must see. If you go to Nebraska for anything the Zoo is a must see as well as if you are into Baseball a College World Series game is a must as well. Then we found our way to a frozen yougart joint to help with the heat overload. After picking out our yummies Abeth choose Cookies and Cream and I got Mango and Vanilla with white chocolate chips. Walking down to the Metro which Dad stated was right across from the Zoo entrance which in actuallity turned out to be 3 blocks down we went underground to the Metro. Now unlike the Metros in France which are a little bit more confusing plus the whole other lanuage barrier added these were kind of friendly. A nice man helped us out getting our tickets to the Smithsonian who later told me I had a beautiful gown on. Then after changing trains we got off at our stop and started our adventrue through the Smithsonian Musems!
Walking up out of the underworld I was of course spotted by peadlers who needed money for the homeless. As the man tried to barter us a map then paid him 2 dollars he said "Thanks miss Kitty" becuase of My Black Kitty Cat knecklace that Cory got me. Anyways the museums were okay I kind of expected a little more out of them. I guess after seeing Night at the Museum nothing can compare. lol
So this morning we woke up and are now headed to Key Largo. I am so excited it is going to be awesome. Actually I am writing this from the Charleston Airport. I thought I would share the excitment and try to update you guys if anyone is reading about what has been going on this time in my life. Unfourtuantly I haven't updated about our adventure to Montana at the end of June. So maybe I can get those up as well. Need to Blog.
Well I will try to update as much as possible. Friday I begin the 24 hours under the water. SO PUMPED.

A Good Rant.
Recently I have figured out there are people in this world that I never want to meet. Since Cory has been doing this whole Pisgah Stage Race Blog Contest I have not meet people, but read what they have wrote and have now deciphered that I never want to meet some of these people ever in my life.I have recently been wanting to get into racing, but now I am not so sure that I want to come face to face with people. Okay I agree Cory does not have the best grammatical skills and his blog to everyone who does not know him may lack a sense of humor or "entertainment." However, I have never been so appalled by people in general. To them Cory is just some kid who can't spell and how dare he even enter a contest to get a free entry into a race that he will have to blog about. Just so everyone can get just a small taste of where I am coming from here are some examples:
I Love you Cory. Hope you don't get mad at me for this but these are my personal thoughts and I just had to share them.
P.S Since this is a contest will you please go vote for Cory Rimmer and help make his dream come true so that he can race in the Pisgah Stage Race. Here is the link http://on.fb.me/VOTE-HERE you have to have a facebook account to vote. It would mean a ton to me. Please Vote.
"This seems pretty simple. The individuals who are the best writers and provide the most entertainment should be picked (not voted on by Facebook fans). The current leader has absolutely no writing ability, and provides little, if any, entertainment value (read that as comedy). This is not a direct dig against that person, all I'm trying to say is that his blog is boring and would reflect poorly on Blue Ridge Adventures if he won. The two individuals in second and third place are good at what they do (blog) and would be much more entertaining to read. I hope this doesn't come down to who has the most friends on Facebook, but to who is qualified to represent Blue Ridge Adventures in the best manner."
"My sixth grade students have better grammar skills then this kid"
Okay now that we are all up to date on this hypocrisy let's address some of the facts that the Hippocrates decided to add as their main points.
1) I have read Dick Head's blog and it is cool I guess. I mean he does have a good blog and his minions do love to read about it. Yes he is older than Cory and I am sure he has more time to blog about all his crap he does with his single-speed.
2) WOW really people everything in life is a contest and a popularity contest. I would think that everyone would have experienced that either in high school or at their first job interview that someone they knew helped them get their foot in the door. Everything is about who you know in life. If you people haven't realized that then you guys might need some help.
3) Seriously get over it! If you don't want to read his miss-spelling then don't read it. That "seems pretty simple".
4) Maybe one person has went and read all of the contestants blogs. I have so maybe I am that one person. Let's just all state the known fact people who voted for who they knew not based on good blogging.
5) Cory is good at what he does which is riding his bike.
6) Blogging has nothing to do with grammar or writing skills. A blog is just a website that anyone can talk about anything that they want to. If I wanted to write about dung beetles I could. If I wanted to talk about watching paint dry on a wall I could. That is what a blog is your own personal thoughts. So maybe Cory's personal thoughts are miss-spelled and only people who actually know him understand his humor. SO WHAT it is his blog he can do write that down.
7) Really you think "you know what is best for Blue Ridge Mountain Adventures". NO you don't so go shove it. It reflects poorly on you that you assume "you" know what is the best reflection for Blue Ridge Mountain Adventures. Cory is dedicated to his riding and a great rider how could that reflect poorly on BRMA? He has raced in many races and won quite a few. He has sports manship and has not once talked back to your slang. He holds his head high and accepts what he can not change while you blog and make snide comments because Dicky is loosing.
8) Every single person who is entered into this contest wants a free entry into the biggest race in the East The Pisgah Stage Race. DUH!! Not because they want to blog about it. I have no doubt that they will do that anyways.
Final Thoughts:
These people do not even know Cory they do not know his love for Mountain Biking and the sport of Cycling. They are not there when he is climbing up a epic hill or do his intervals on the roads around his house for his training. They do not have the heart or the love for the sport that Cory embodies. So what if he can't spell and does not blog everyday. He is too busy training, riding, building random trails outside his house in the woods, and just enjoying life. Cory is an awesome person and a great mountain biker and if he can get this opportunity I know that he will do something great. He also makes me smile constantly he is a great person and you should really get to know him if you don't already.

Birthday. Munchie. Life
Friday The 13th of May was my BIRTHDAY!! Yes 20 years ago was the day that I graced this earth and my lovely family with my presence. I can only assume that 20 years ago it was awesome that I arrived and well I know that my Birthday this year was actually to my surprise quite awesome as well. After coaxing Cory into coming over the night before in promise of French Toast the next morning I knew I had to get up and make some French Toast to begin the day. It was a feast I must say almost making an entire loaf of bread to appease the never ending black hole of hunger known as Cory Rimmer. Then off to work where I found out it isn't half bad to work on your birthday. You ask why?? Because everyone has to be nice to you. I mean it is your birthday for goodness sakes. Not only that I got 4 credit applications which is kind of a big deal. Which means I am kinda a big deal. Just Kidding. It is just I have to get so many credit apps for work or else I could get fired. Anyways after work I went over to Cory's and Cory kinda gave me in a way the best present ever!! He kinda in a way gave me MUNCHIE!!!
This is Munchkin. That is his real name, but Cory and I call him Munchie for short. Like I was saying Cory gave me Munchie kinda after I asked if I could have him as my birthday present. See Munchie is a stray that Cory's mom and sister found in Friendsville in the middle of the road. So they picked him up and there for a week put up posters and nobody claimed him. So instead I claimed him and I love him. He is awesome. He is really well behaved and just a sweet dog. I have taken really good care of him and took him to the vet where he could get his shots and everything. Munchie is flee, tick, and rabies free. He is still an itchy bug, but that is okay with me it is funny the way his leg twitches when you scratch his tummy.
Since I have gotten Munch I have taken him everywhere with me basically like the other day we went to Cory's race in ducktown together which was fun. He just kinda hungout in this bag that I brought. Yet when he did finally get out and about he was a hit at the race. He is a people dog. There and back he just slept curled up with me or next to Cory. That is when he wasn't getting his view on, looking out the window on Cory's lap. He is a driver's seat dog no question about it.
Cory got 4th at Ducktown. I thought he did awesome even though he wasn't too happy with the outcome since he did not get paid for his hard work. However, he was pleased when I treated him to some awesome race day Quiznos for free. Anyways that is about all that has been going on with me besides the normal stuff. I am glad that we found Munchkin because now he has the best home ever and I know Cory and I both love him. Plus the best thing about Munchie is that he loves Blue Cheese like me too!!

I AM A GRADUATE!!!
So like I am still really horrible about updating my blog here and I should really try harder to update it more often. However that is besides the point.
Yesterday I graduated from Roane State Community College with an Associates of Science. I graduated Cum Laude which means that I achieved a grade point average above a 3. 50 so I was very proud of that fact. I also graduated with Honors so that is really cool. It was a really huge step for me I am so glad that I am getting the heck up out of Roane State. I had to sit through the long on going speeches and hear my nemesis speak about her experiences at Roane State. As soon as they introduced her I looked over at Cory and he knew that it was her the girl who beat me at the President's Award. He gave me a sweet smile which meant your silly and get over it all at the same time.

A Blessing in Disguise
As I sit here and think about all the things that are racing through my head and watch Cory fly by the window riding through his front yard off to some wooded trail or the mini track he has built in his yard I can not help but think of the last time I was speeding towards something. In brings me back to August 9th (8/9/10) when I broke my shoulder mountain biking. Nope it was not an awesome crash nor was it on some epic trail it was just on some trail in the middle of Concord Park, Knoxville. I didn't do it on like Black Mountain or on anything so hard and cool in Pisgah or DuPont. Even though I have had several wipe outs on some trails in DuPont never Black Mountain. At this moment it is a little too hard for me to visualize myself hurling down that trail, not yet but maybe this summer! I was riding with my friend Tori and then all of sudden because I thought I was a bad ass I went storming down this hill like I was freaking Gee Atherton, however Gee Atherton does not somehow try to bunny hop of something completely fail say "Oh shit" in their head and then black out. Only to wake up with your friend Tori freaking out because you are to her dead lying on the ground and to you everything previously has felt like an awesome dream. Then getting a sweet ride in some like gator to the ambulance waiting at the head of the trail and swept off to the hospital. Nope Gee Atherton doesn't get that I do! Anyways a broken Scapula and rehabilitation later to this day it makes me to think about how me breaking my shoulder was a true blessing in disguise for me. Breaking my shoulder made me realize actually how unhappy I was with my decision to play softball at Roane State again for another year. My shoulder was my way out and it opened my eyes to the possibilities before me. I am still unhappily at Roane State attending school and muddling through the daily drag of going to school there. However, I am not playing softball there anymore, well by tomorrow I will not be playing there anymore. It makes me happy to say that for the first time in my life besides my travel ball team I am quiting softball, but with a bright future ahead of me. On Monday the 21st I signed a Letter of Intent to go and play softball at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA. It was one of the most exciting days of my life and I still can't believe how fast it flew by. I mean I signed a paper accepting the offer and now this time next year I will be out on the field soaking up the sun, cranking some hits, and making plays. I am so excited that I can hardly wait. My only regret is that I did not practice my chicken scribble signature before signing my official Letter of Intent papers. I also regret not believing in myself before Roane State that I could play softball other places besides there. I know I have totally been Debby Downing on Roane State and I will say this about Roane State I feel like it has somewhat prepared me to face the next chapter in my life one that is sure to be filled with great excitement, adventure, and determination to be the best that I can be.

SOFTBALL :)
So at this moment I have the chance to continue playing softball throughout college. These last couple of weeks have been kinda busy with softball tryout and all that jazz, but it is finally slowing down some. As of right now the front runners for me are Union College and Virginia Intermont College. I am not too sure which one that I really wanna go to the both have different qualites that I really liked and others that I was just not too sure about. However, one big well really two big things about VI that I really like were my favorite person Laurel Pace already plays there and VI actually has a major for my intended major Environmental Science. I would love to play with Laurel again I mean we have that First and Second base connection. I have a lot of things to think over and actually do. I have to complete all the forms and stuff for both Union and VI so I am really pushing it and hopefully one of the two will work out for me.
However, while me and my mom were checking out VI we did stay in Johnson City which if you haven't been to it is actually a growing city and pretty cool. We stayed at the Carniege Hotel right across from ETSU. So if you are ever up that way check it out there are some really cool parts and some bad parts of town like every place...

Perfect From Far Away...
So I changed the name. I like this one even though the other one was cute but I like this one 1)because of the song by Iron& Wine "Such Great Heights" and 2) its so true things look so good from far away and then you take a closer look and its shitty well this is what this whole thing is about taking a closer examination of life and stuff. So I feel this one is a better fit.
So anyways it snowed quite a bit here I mean more than normal you could say and I had some fun in the snow. Cory rode all the days and I played in the snow. The first day Katie (Cory's little sister) and I made a snowman. He was rather large, however he was short lived cue when Cory's dad tried to make it up their driveway which was covered in snow he backed right over it in front of us I died laughing I mean that is pretty funny you got to admits. The next day I was supposed to get the heat fixed in my truck since i've been driving it around freezing. However, they didn't have the part I needed for my truck so again I played in the snow. This time making a snowman on the back porch. So today just kinda hung out at my house after Cor and I got into a mini fight. I don't know why but i've been extremely arguementive. Just not myself, somewhat self destructive. I need a break or something, so I'm gonna try and keep to myself for awhile but usually I last two days and then fold for some reason I just can't stay away. I'm supposed to have softball tomorrow at 4 so maybe that will help. I need to do a little searching or just find myself a little. Not that I'm lost it just helps to take a step back and sort some stuff out independently plus Cor has base mirage to do. I also need to get ready for this upcoming semester at RSCC and finish filling out some college applications/tryouts. I have plenty to do. No worries. Well headed to bed. Night.

180 Degrees SOUTH
So I don't know if I'm completely late on this train or not but the other days I found this movie that I totally connected with on many levels. The movie is 180 Degrees SOUTH and if you haven't heard of it or checked it out you should. If you love being outside you will understand this movie and it will connect with your soul. It did mine it didn't really open my eyes it just made me even more passionate about my succeeding at getting my major in Environmental Science. I really hope that my degree will actually have an affect on the world. I want and will strive to better protect this environment. This movie just kinda made me wanna go out and change the world now. Not just get a degree and then never use it for anything. I want to use my degree make the world a better place and in some way impact how things are handled involving the environment. Anyways off that soap box the movie is about Jeff Johnson this normal guy from California as he follows in the footsteps of his heros Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins who in 1968 took a journey to Patagonia. So likewise he sets out on a journey to Patagonia to find a sort of peace. One aspect of the movie is putting yourself where it shouldn't be. Almost like living on the edge, but in the movie its more like doing things that are on the edge like climbing a huge mountain. Or doing something that has never been done before. If you haven't seen the movie you should totally check it out. If you love nature just the smallest bit you will be captured by this movie. Here are some links that should help guide you.
Check em out...

An Epic Fail...
This blog thing has become an epic fail and I need to turn this thing around. So I will fill you in on everything and try to remember most of it.
Well Christmas came and went and it was AWESOME!! It was like the best Christmas ever. I mean I got like basically everything I wanted and totally more. However, Cory did get me a lot for Christmas and I kinda felt bad because I didn't have all of his stuff for him. He should be ordering his vitamins and some shoe covers for riding and then if I could ever finish my own little project to give him then maybe I would feel better. Cory got me the Casio watch that I really wanted and he also tricked me and bought me this little black onyx cat necklace, and then finally he got me a white gold ankle bracelet.
Before Christmas went to the Biltmore and that was amazing as always. It is probably one of my most favorite places. On Monday the 20th me and mom went alone because it was a nice day and Cory wanted to ride to get in some of his base milage which was cool because me and mom had such an awesome time we wanted to go the next day. So on Tuesday me, mom, and Cory headed out to the Biltmore in the danger ranger which was freezing cold without any heat. Once arriving after Cory and mom complained about my driving we went to the Biltmore Inn and ate at the Library which me and mom had already tested out the day before the food was INSANELY good. Then since we had to be back in Knoxville before 7:15 for the Ice Bears Hockey game we were going to we just decided to go to the Gardens and Conservatory and we also ended up making a quick round about at the house. Cory liked the gardens.
The massive gingerbread house they had.
The Biltmore House.
Me and Cory with the Christmas Lion outside of Biltmore House.
Then we went to the hockey game and it was really cool too. The Knoxville Ice Bears beat the Fayetteville Fire Ants.
So that was Christmas, New Years was quite an event. Cory and I kind of fought stupidly over stuff. However, we did end up being cheerful at the turn of the year.
Looking forward I am excited about 2011. I want to do a ton of things and am really hoping that everything pans out exactly how its supposed to, if not its okay. I know Cory has a lot of things planned as well. This Saturday (Jan 8) I have my first tryout for the second part of my collegiate softball career. I tryout at Union College in Kentucky. I really hope it goes well I have been having some pretty strange dreams about softball and really want things to work out I feel somewhat unprepared, but I have tomorrow I get off early and Thursday I have off to maybe throw a little and hit some. Anyways wish me luck. I'll try to do a better at this blog thing. Hopefully I can fill you in on the tryout with some good news. Bye
